the big hydro free fair is happening this weekend! it’s (supposedly) the oldest fair in oklahoma, but i’m pretty sure every small town fair makes the same claim. regardless of its age, it’s a fun place to be! my wife and i like to argue about which is better, the hydro fair or my hometown’s fair in mtn. view. both have a lot of fun to offer, but mtn. view has the definite advantage when it comes to the food offerings. one thing you’re sure to find at both are haggard old rides held together with bailing wire and powered by an old tractor motor and a belt!
